In light of this personal tragedy, Malaika Arora has also addressed her experiences with public criticism. In an interview with HT City Showstopper, she discussed how online trolling has been a constant part of her career. “My career was entirely based on being criticized and trolled for my life choices, and now I have become immune to it,” she said. Arora emphasized that she prefers to ignore online negativity, only reacting when it concerns her loved ones.
In a previous interview with Pinkvilla, Arora revealed how her parents have been affected by the trolling. She shared, “My parents would keep saying, ‘beta someone said this or that.’ And finally, I sat them down and said, ‘Enough! Stop reading this garbage. It is complete BS. Please do not focus your energies on this.’” Arora’s efforts to shield her parents from online negativity have been a significant part of her coping strategy.
