Nadia Afgan speaks up about the exploitation of new actresses

She recently appeared on Something Haute’s YouTube show, Haute Talk, hosted by Amna Haider Isani. During the show, Nadia Afgan highlighted how young actresses face exploitation in the industry and how it impacts their financial status.

Talking about it, Nadia Afgan said, “Yes, the young girls are exploited in this field. We can only guide them. A long time back, I was doing a drama in Lahore. A pretty girl was playing my Bahu. She was white and had long hair. She came on the set in a very normal look and simple clothes. She had nothing to flaunt. She had potential too; I guided her as well. Then we wrapped up our first spell and met after a gap of three months. I was shocked to see the shift in her financial status. The car she was using was out of my reach; she was wearing multiple brands and diamond rings. She has maids and an assistant; she completely changed. And gave me the explanation that ‘I have been doing modeling,’ but we know such a huge amount can’t be earned that easily”

She added, “Nowadays, the actors live in Emaar; they hardly earn through so much hard work but spend all their money on paying rent or buying property in Emaar. Just because of competition, they live in Emaar; I tell them to live with their parents. They are buying and renting out apartments just for the sake of competition.”. Here is the link to the video:
