Recently, Syra Yousuf appeared on Mashion’s Mashadi podcast, where she discussed the societal pressure to remarry, the importance of financial independence, and the qualities she seeks in a partner.
Syra Yousuf said, “I think now the time has changed and the divorce rates have also gone up, so now parents have understood the fact that it is not easy for someone to end a relationship and immediately start a new life. So, my parents are chilled out. Yes, society says to move on and that a male figure is necessary in life but now people have become more accepting towards single mothers too”.
She further added, “I think financial independence is important because that is why I have made many decisions in my life, and if your family is strong, their support matters. I think not everyone has a solid background. A girl needs to be independent”.
Syra Yousuf also said that “she has seen multiple women who got married and left their children behind which was frustrating for kids. She said women should move on along with their kids.”
While discussing the qualities she wants in her life partner, Syra Yousuf said, “For me it is really important for a man to be God-fearing, that’s what I look for in a partner”.
Talking about red flags, she said, “Yes, I get anxious when I see rude behavior in men but there are other red flags too like the guys who force you in love are the biggest red flags. Those who love bomb you and cloud your feelings that you can’t see anything else other than them, that for me is a red flag”
