Thirteen rare kharai camels owned by a local man were found dead in the coastal region of Shah Bandar in Sujawal District.

The owner of the camels Mubarak Jat, found his camels lifeless in the water by the sea.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, blood was observed flowing from the mouths of the deceased camels.

These Kharai camels, known for their rarity and swimming capabilities in sea water, hold a significant value, with the collective price of the thirteen camels estimated to be more than five million.

The cause of this sudden and tragic event points to a mysterious disease affecting the camels.

Despite the large number of casualties, the livestock operation staff has not yet reached the affected area, leaving residents anxiously awaiting assistance.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Department of Livestock was urged to swiftly take measures on an emergency basis to address the crisis and safeguard the breed of rare Kharai camels in the coastal areas.
