Four member security delegation of Sri Lanka visits national stadium Karachi to check security conditions for the test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

According to the details, Mohan De Silva headed the security delegation to analyze security conditions prior to the test series.

On this occasion director international cricket Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Zakir Khan also accompanied the security delegation.

PCB officials during the visit also briefed Sri Lankan security delegation about the security measurements taken.

Head security delegation Mohan De Silva said that we have good relations with PCB. Upon the invitation by PCB we have visited Pakistan.

Mohan De Silva also said that we have visited national stadium and have been briefed about all security measures. We will also visit Qaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Security delegation also said that we have our seniors accompanying us. After the visit a report will be submitted to Sri Lankan cricket board.

Sri Lankan cricket board on the report will decide about the upcoming test series between the two countries scheduled in October.

Previously, Sri Lankan cricket board has confirmed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that their security team will visit Pakistan.

According to details, the security officials of Sri Lankan cricket board will analyze security situations in the country. The officials will visit Pakistan early August.

The confirmed dates for Sri Lankan team’s arrival will be announced later.

A test series is scheduled between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in October.

Sri Lanka has never toured to Pakistan since the Lahore attack on Sri Lankan team bus in 2009.
