Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is about to make a history as he is just 1 goal behind to complete 700th goal of his career.

He hit his 94th goal for the Portuguese and took his overall career tally to 699 against Luxembourg in Euro 2020 qualifying game.

Ronaldo scored his 699th as Portugal beat Luxembourg by 3-0.

The 34-year-old Superstar is now just leaving only former Iranian striker Ali Daei in front of him in the the all-time international charts on 109 goals.

On this magnificent victory Ronaldo said “I still love football. I love to entertain the fans and the people who love Cristiano. It doesn’t matter the age, it’s all about mentality.”

He further said “It has taken many years of hard work, dedication and passion to achieve what I have in football.”

“Outside of football I’m not there yet, but I’m a competitive guy and I don’t like to be the number two or number three. I always want to be number one. I will do it, 100 per cent.” Ronaldo added.

Earlier on October 7, 2002, a 17-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first two goals as Sporting CP beat Sporting Moreirense by that same score line 3-0.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also won the Best Fifa Football Awards in 2016 and 2017 but in 2019 Argentine Lionel Messi beat Cristiano Ronaldo to win the best FIFA player of the year award for a record sixth time.
