The team will perform well in Australia: Babar Azam

Pakistan cricket team’s T20 captain, Babar Azam has said that I will open the series against Australia with pride.

“I am sure that the cricket team will perform well in Australia, and my performance in Australia will be important,” Baba Azam said addressing a press conference in Lahore.

He further said that there is a lot what I learnt to be the captain, I will try to show my 100% performance, I will play in Australia in the same way I have played till now.

Babar Azam added more that it is in my mind to perform with the team and also perform myself. He said that the strong part of the national team is bowling, the senior and junior combinations in the bowling lines are good.

Earlier, Chief Selector cum Head Coach Misbah-ul-Haq announced the squad for the upcoming tour in Australia.

During a press conference, National team’s head coach Misbah-ul-haq announced the names for T20 and test team players.

Azhar Ali will be the Test team captain and Babar Azam for the Twenty-20.

A 16-member national team has been announced for three T20 matches, which includes Captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hasnain, Imad Wasim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Sohail, Moosa Khan, Shadab Khan, Usman Qadir and Wahab Riaz.

Another 16-member team had been announced for two T20 matches.
