Women’s One Day: Pakistan defeats Bangladesh

Pakistan Women’s cricket team defeated Bangladesh Women’s Team by 29 runs in the first ODI.

According to the details, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first in the first one-day match played in Lahore and went all out on 215 runs in the 49th over.

Opener Naheeda Khan scored 68 for Pakistan, while skipper Bisma Maroof scored 39 while Aaliyah Riaz scored 37 runs.

Where Bangladesh, Ara Alam scored 3, Panna Ghosh and Naheed Akhtar took 2 wickets while Salma Khatoon and Fahima Khatun each took one wicket.

The Bangladesh team went all out for 186 runs in the 18th over, following a 216-run stand.

Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Nigar Sultana scored 58 while Captain Romana Ahmed scored 28 and Farzana Haq scored 27 runs.

From Pakistani skipper, Sana Mir took 3 wickets while Diana Baig, Saadia Iqbal and Nashra Sindhu took 2,2 wickets.

Naheed Khan of Pakistan was given the Player of the Match award for his excellent batting.

During the visit, 3 Twenty20 and 2 One Day matches were scheduled between Pakistan and Bangladesh Women teams while all the matches will be played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Bangladesh Women Team had arrived Pakistan on October 24.

The PCB is making every effort to hold all the upcoming international series in Pakistan.

The Sri Lankan team visited Pakistan earlier this month, where they played three one-day matches in Karachi in which the national team won.

Later, a three-match T20 series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan was held in Lahore.
