West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has decided to obverse his retirement and has announced his comeback to international cricket. He last played for West Indies in 2016.
Dwayne Bravo has now reversed his retirement making himself available for selection in T20 squad
“Today I confirm the announcement of my decision to return to International Cricket to all my fans and well wishers all around the world. It’s no secret that this big announcement has come as a result of the changes made at the administration level,” stated Bravo in a media release.
Dwayne Bravo was among several players who had a fall out with the WI cricket board over administrative and financial issues.
However, Dwayne Bravo revealed that he wants to help West Indies achieve better results under Kieron Pollard’s captaincy.
“For a while now I have been contemplating my return to international cricket and my decision was solidified by these positive changes. With the current leadership of coach Phil Simmons and captain Kieron Pollard I’m really excited about this come back and about the chance to be part of something really special,” he added.
On 31 January 2015, Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from Test cricket. In October 2018, Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from international cricket in all formats.
Dwayne Bravo came out of international retirement in preparation for the 2020 T20 World Cup.
