Kamran Akmal has big plans for PSL 5, says he is well prepared

Pakistan wicket keeper and batsman Kamran Akmal revealed that he wants to have “another successful PSL season” and “make sure to help my team whenever they need”.

Kamran Akmal is coming off a highly successful campaign in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where he the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 906 runs in 11 matches for Central Punjab, which included three centuries and three fifties, at an average of 60.40.

Having played a pivotal role in leading Central Punjab to victory in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Akmal is now preparing for the PSL, where he will represent the Peshawar Zalmi.

In last year’s PSL, Akmal finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the competition after accumulating 357 runs in 13 games, which included three half-centuries, at an average of 27.46.

“I am well prepared and highly looking forward to yet another successful PSL season.

It is not about how much runs I score but I will make sure to help my team whenever they need,” Akmal said in a recent statment.

Akmal also praised the decision to hold the PSL entirely in Pakistan for the first time.

“I think it is a huge step to hold the entire league in Pakistan,” he said. “Players like Hashim Amla and many other big names are currently in Pakistan and enjoying every moment here. Having renowned players in the dressing room will give immense confidence to the youngsters.”

PSL 5 Opening Ceremony:

The opening ceremony of PSL 2020 will take place at the National Stadium in Karachi.

PSL 5 first Match:

However The first opening match will played between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators at National Stadium Karachi on Feb 20.

Moreover The tournament will see as many as 350 artists including Abrar-ul-Haq, Aima Baig, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sajjad Ali, Sanam Marvi and rock band Soch perform at the opening ceremony.

PSL 2020 Winner Price:

According to the statement issued by PSL management, the tournament will carrying total prize money of $ 1 million, with $ 4,500 fixed for each player which will awarded at the end of each match.

It states that $ 80,000 will equally be distributed to cricketers of the tournament; the top batsman, best bowler and for the spirit of cricket award.

Furthermore The best catchers, the best run-out and most sixes will also be awarded prize money, the statement revealed.
