Wife of Former Pakistan Team Captain Shoaib Malik, Tennis Star Sania Mirza among Indian Sports stars that took part in an online concert to raise funds in combat against Coronavirus outbreak in India.
Along with Skipper Virat Kohli and Opener Rohit Sharma, Tennis Star Sania Mirza were among sports personalities, who took part in an online concert to raise funds to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
As an initiative Actors, Musicians, Singers, Sports-persons and business leaders came together to entertain people from their homes in a bid to help the COVID-19 pandemic cause.
The proceeds from the concert will go to the India COVID Response Fund.
Among others to attend the concert include, Kohli’s actress wife Anushka, Shah Rukh Khan, AR Rahman, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bryan Adams, Gulzar, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ranveer Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Sophie Turner, Zoya Akhtar and Vidya Balan.
Coronavirus Lockdown in India
India has entered the third phase of its nationwide lockdown which has been furthered by 13 days till May 17 with some relaxations announced to begin today. The Bihar government has decided to classify the 38 districts of the state in only red and orange zones. Nationwide tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India reached 42,533, with 1373 deaths across the country. 72 deaths recorded in last 24 hours and 2553 new cases reported.
On the other hand President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has expressed confidence that a vaccine for coronavirus could be available by the end of the year.
