PCB takes U-turn on its decision to dismiss employee

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has withdrawn the notices of dismissal of employees.

Chief Executive Wasim Khan said that as a responsible body, we have reconsidered our decision. On the other hand, former fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed sharply criticized the PCB, saying that strange decisions have made the PCB a joke.

Pakistan Cricket Board chief executive Wasim Khan has confirmed the reinstatement of all the sacked employees, saying in a statement that over staffing was a matter of long-term sustainability for the current board and time to reduce staff. The election is very important, the methodology and means of communication needed to be improved.

The statement added, “As a responsible organization, we have reviewed our decision and acted quickly to withdraw the notices.”

On the other hand, former fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed sharply criticized and the strange decisions he made in his video message have made a mockery. It may be recalled that the Pakistan Cricket Board has extended the contracts of all 55 employees till October this year.
