Due to the novel COVID-19 pandemic across the globe, president of Board of Cricket Control in Inda (BCCI), Saurav Ganguly has claimed that the Asia Cup 2020 has been canceled.
While talking to an Indian journalist through Instagram, Ganguly expressed that the current situation is not correct to hold the multi-national tournament.
Just a day before the scheduled Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting, Ganguly claimed that “Asia Cup has been called off.”
It is pertinent to mention here that this September, Pakistan was to host the Asian event. The tournament was likely to be held at a neutral venue after India refused to travel to neighbors because of political tensions between the two countries.
