Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir has cleared his second coronavirus (Covid-19) tests and will join the team in England for the upcoming Test and T20I series.

According to the details, Mohammad Amir is expected that the duo will travel over the weekend.

Earlier Amir had excused himself from the tour due to the birth of his daughter, however, team management was keen to have him on board for the tour as rookie pacer Haris Rauf repeatedly tested positive.

Amir has replaced Haris Rauf, who had tested positive for coronavirus. As soon as Amir will reach England, the duty of reserve wicketkeeper-batsman Rohail Nazir would be suspended.

PCB has also agreed to send masseur Mohammad Imran after team management’s request, who also have cleared the COVID-19 test and will travel along Amir.

Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Cricket Board CEO PCB Wasim Khan also said that series against England will be a big challenge to the national team.

CEO PCB Wasim Khan said that the Pakistani team working hard day and night to give their best output on the field.

He said, the team is currently living in-ground hotel, where all the facilities are being provided to players.

The Pakistan cricket team arrived on June 29, in England for their three-match Test series and an equal number of T20Is.

All the matches between England and Pakistan will be played in a bio-secure environment and no spectators will be allowed during the series.

In Test matches, Azhar Ali will be the captaining the Pakistani side for the first time in a Test series. Azhar Ali has played 78 Tests for his country till now and scored 5,919 runs with an average of 42.58.

The right-handed batsman has scored 16 centuries and 31 half-centuries till now.

In the three-match T20I series, Babar Azam will captain the Pakistan team. Babar Azam is one of the finest batsmen in the Pakistani line-up and has scored 1,471 runs with an average of 50.72 in 38 T20I matches.

Babar Azam has played 26 Test matches for his country and scored 1,850 runs with an average of 45.12. The right-handed batsman has also featured in 74 ODIs and scored 3,359 runs with an average of 54.17.
