Barca Officials to hold emergency meeting over humiliating defeat by Bayern Munich

Top officials of the Football Club Barcelona are set to meet, following a humiliating 8-2 defeat by Bayern Munich.

According to the details,  “The president (Josep Maria Bartomeu) has called an imminent emergency meeting of the executive committee, which will be held at the start of next week.”

The blaugrana management committee is going to meet tomorrow (Monday), (coach Quique) Setien will be dismissed and a date could be brought forward already for the presidential elections.

Earlier Champions League quarterfinals showed Bayern Munich at the peak of its powers and Barcelona at the end of the line.

Thomas Müller, right, opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Howsoever After an own goal tied the score, Ivan Perisic restored Bayern’s lead.

Serge Gnabry made it 3-1, later Müller’s second, in the 31st minute, was Bayern’s fourth.  Joshua Kimmich scored after a brilliant individual move by Alphonso Davies.

Robert Lewandowski, put a ball in it in the 82nd minute making the sixth goal for Bayern.

Philippe Coutinho scored Bayern’s seventh with his right foot and then last but not the least added Bayern’s final one with his left.

By the time the eighth went in, Barcelona’s players were barely moving.
