Former cricketer and fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar lashed out on Pakistan Cricket Board after Pakistan’s poor performance in the third Test series against England.

In his YouTube video, Shoaib said,

“We are fed up with this mindset attached to the team. The PCB has to change this trend. – Our cricket is being destroyed.”

The Rawalpindi Express highlighted that he had played with every bowler, from slow to fast but the attitude of the present bowlers is not up to the mark and blamed the coaching method.

Akhtar also blamed Naseem Shah for not using variation in the bowling including slower balls or bouncers and underlined the lack of aggression in the Pakistani bowlers.

“I have seen the attitude of aggressive bowlers, they have the intent of taking wickets. I do not know what is being taught to the current bowlers of Pakistan. There is no method, Naseem Shah keeps on bowling at just one area, there are no slower balls or bouncers. I don’t know why there is a lack of aggression, we are not net bowlers, we are playing Test matches.”

Akhtar went on to embarrass Pakistani players and said Azhar Ali’s men lack the right mindset for Test cricket. He called the national cricket team as a “Club Team”.

The 43-year-old former cricketer said that England player Crawley was ready to make 3 centuries but fortunately was out before that. However, the Pakistani team was at 24-3 at the end of day 2, and in the present game, captain Azhar Ali is waging a lone fight with a half-century.

“Our players do not understand that when you do not have the right mindset, you would not succeed. Pakistan looked like a very ordinary team, the way we are playing, it is looking like we will face our biggest defeat on foreign soil since 2006. It is a very embarrassing performance from Pakistan, I was very hopeful of our side performing well in the series. Pakistan is looking like a club team. Crawley was set for scoring 300 but fortunately, he was dismissed.”
