On Wednesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to retain Babar Azam as the captain of the national team for the limited-overs until the T20 World Cup.
Babar was appointed the captain of the Pakistan T20 team in May by the PCB for a one-year period.
The board had to review Babar’s one-year performance to decided whether to retain him as the captain in the T20 World Cup or not.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the T20 World Cup has been postponed, it had to be staged in Australia in November.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that now it will hold the T20 World Cup in 2021 in India but has not decided so far who will host the tournament.
