Lahore Qalandars’ owner Fawad Rana, said that if his franchise wins the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, he would dedicate it to his late mother.

“If Insha’Allah I win the PSL 2020 tonight, I will dedicate it to my mother,” said Fawad Rana, overwhelmed with emotion.

He also revealed that his mother had predicted — before her demise — that Rana would become famous one day.

Rana further added that the team Lahore Qalandars represented mothers. “Our mothers are Qalandars, the mothers of the shaheeds and the ghazis are Qalandars,” he added.

Moreover, ahead of the ongoing PSL 2020 finale at National Stadium, Lahore Qalandars has won the toss and opted to bat first. The match commences at 8pm. Both the teams, considered part of the two biggest cities, eye on the PSL finale grand trophy.

Earlier in a day, Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik has expressed his views about the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 finale, taking place in National Stadium today.

Taking to Twitter, Shoaib Malik has sent best wishes to the deserving team and said that the match is going to be interesting as both the biggest teams are on the field.

“Karachi Vs Lahore will be very interesting, may the best team win tonight, for Pakistan cricket has already won!,” Malik wrote.

On the other hand, showbiz stars including Humayun Saeed, Ejaz Aslam, Adnan Siddiqui and others make their way to the National Stadium to witness the thrill between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars.

In March 2020, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 5 series halted due to increasing Coronavirus cases in the country. The remaining playoffs were set to take place in Lahore, but later shifted to Karachi due to worst air quality in the city.
