Karachi Kings take home the title for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 after defeating Lahore Qalandars by five wickets.

Babar Azam led Karachi Kings to their first PSL victory after defeating Lahore Qalandars at the National Stadium on Tuesday.

President Arif Alvi congratulated the Champions of PSL finale, Karachi Kings.

The President, in his tweet wrote, “Congratulations Karachi Kings. A good win.”

Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal has also wished the winning team on its remarkable victory.

Many congratulations #Karachi & on winning Pakistan Super League. #KarachiKings #PSLFinal”, he wrote on Twitter.Β 

Minister for States and Frontier Regions Shehryar Afridi lauded the Champions of the night.

He tweeted, “Cricket comes home but trophy will stay at Karachi. Dividends of peace & progress are getting visible as all matches were played in Pakistan. Congratulations #KarachiKings for winning #PSL2020Final , Well played Babar Azam. LQ certainly u have won the hearts again. “

Also, Federal minister for planning and development Asad Umar praises Babar Azam as he led Karachi Kings to reach their winning goal in the PSL 2020 finale.

“Congratulations karachi….. Babar azam is The King!!!,” he tweeted.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar also extend best wishes for the entire team of KK.

He said, “Another Great season of PSL comes to an end. Karachi Kings are the winners with the help of top class batting by Babar Azam. Congratulations to them & whole Pakistan. This year all the matches were held in Pakistan and for that our security officials deserve credit.”

Babar struck seven boundaries during his stay at the crease while he partnered with Chadwick Walton to score a match-winning partnership of 61 runs. Walton made the second-highest 22 runs from Kings.

Earlier,Β Kings’ bowlers held Lahore Qalandars tight as they managed to post just 134-7. While batting first, Qalandars were off to a steady start with openers Tamim Iqbal and Fakhar Zaman scoring 68 runs together. But, wickets of both the openers in quick successions put the batting side under pressure.

Moreover, the officials Karachi Kings handle on Twitter congratulated the entire winning team and thanked theri fans for the love and support throughout their journey.

The team also dedicated their victory to late Dean Jones, the Australian cricket legend and Head Coach Karachi Kings, who died of a massive heart failure in September.
