English player James Vince from Multan Sultans has been tested positive for coronavirus and will not be able to participate in the PSL 5 playoffs.
According to the details, when tested COVID-19 positive Vince was asymptomatic and for the next 10 days, the 29-year-old player will be in quarantine. Furthermore, he will undergo a second coronavirus test.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah from Multan Sultans also ruled out from PSL 5 as he was also tested positive for the widely-spread COVID-19. Reports revealed that Joe Denly is likely to replace Vince.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced the PSL 2015 schedule of the knockout stage matches that were postponed due to the coronavirus.
The tournament was halted amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“The four matches will be held in Lahore on November 14, 15, and 17 with only the Qualifier and Eliminator 1 to be a double-header,” the PCB stated in a press release. “Eliminator 2 will be played on the following day, while the event will conclude on Tuesday, November 17.
