Australian Batsman David Warner has been formally ruled out of contention for the Adelaide Test, due to his groin strain.
According to the details, Australian Batsman David Warner was injured in the second ODI of the series against India. The 34-year-old revealed that he will not be able to recover to play for Australia on Dec 17.
Commenting on his injury, he said “The injury feels a lot better, but I need to be able to satisfy in my own mind and to my team-mates that it is 100 percent ready for Test match conditions.”
On Tuesday, Australia beat India by 12 runs in the third and final T20 match of the series and avoided a clean sweep. India leads the series by 2-0.
India ended their innings at 174/7, however, with the win, Virat Kohli became only the second Captain to lead his team to a series win Down Under in all three formats and the first one in the T20 format.
Maxwell’s 54 and Wade’s 80 lead the hosts to register win against the visitors.
The first test will begin on December 17th.
