Babar Azam, who has been accused of harassment by a girl named Hamzia Mukhtar, is under hot water after the girl filed a petition against the newly-appointed Pakistani team captain.
According to the details, a court in the provincial capital has asked for comments from the police regarding the case by December 4.
The girl filed a petition against Azam in the of Additional District and Sessions judge Numan Muhammad Naeem who stated that the cricketer had allegedly raped her on fake marriage promises.
Hamiza addressed a press conference at Lahore Press Club and alleged the national team captain sexually and physically abused while in a relationship before entering into the cricket. She girl said they both were school-fellows and also lived in the same vicinity.
She claimed that Babar Azam proposed to her in 2010 and she eloped with Babar for court marriage in 2011 because both she and Babar’s families did not agree to the proposal.
After hearing the petitioner, the court has sought comments from the concerned SHO by December 4.
Furthermore, Hamzia has also filed a petition against Babar Azam’s family members for allegedly threatening and harassing her and moved the court of Additional District and Sessions, Judge Abid Raza.
The court has sought comments by December 5 from the police in this petition.
