Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam has once again reaffirmed his status as one of the best batsmen across formats in the modern era and remained in the top five list of ICC test rankings.
According to the details, Babar Azam stood 5th with 797 points. However, he was at the 6th spot before the start of the second Test between England and Pakistan at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Azam, however, holds the second position in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings as his rating points increased to 871 after playing series with Zimbabwe. Azam’s series-topping 133 runs against Zimbabwe have helped him reduce the gap.
On the other hand, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is up to second in the rankings after putting his career-best 251 on board, against West Indies in Hamilton.
West Indies skipper, Jason Holder down to seventh from fifth having not taken any wickets. He was top by one point from England’s Ben Stokes, but Stokes now has a twelve-point advantage.
