Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has given a phenomenal performance in the first Test match being played between Pakistan and New Zealand today.
Shaheen Afridi ended the century partnership of Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor.
Pakistan had won the toss and had decided to field first. At the end of the first hour, New Zealand was 19 off 13 overs whereas Afridi had two wickets for 14.
New Zealand were two for 13 before they united to be 55 for 2 at lunch. Kane Williamson was on 19 and Ross Taylor was on 25.
Mohammad Rizwan had won the toss and had invited the black caps to bat, as he said he wanted to take advantage of a green surface offering pace and movement and Afridi immediately obliged.
“We had a good track record on this match following our win over West Indies last month. We will try to post a high total on this wicket,” Kane Williamson said.
