Pakistan squad has returned to the cricket field for its first practice session in Queenstown on Wednesday morning after two weeks of isolation.
According to the details, Shaheens made the most of the opportunity and trained for almost three hours under Ejaz Ahmed, Pakistan cricket team’s coach, supervision.
The 53-member squad was in managed isolation, confined to their rooms for the last two weeks. Shaheens were allowed to train initially during isolation, however, after 10 players of the squad tested positive for coronavirus, they were revoked by the NZ health authorities.

Cricketers were happy and energetic to be back on the cricket field after 14 days. Haris Sohail, on the other hand, spoke about the frustration of players who had gone through two-week isolation.
“14- days isolation was as difficult for us as it would have been for any other sportsperson.”
“The moment we were told that isolation is over and we could return to cricket, everyone in the squad was excited and looked forward to the practice sessions,” he shared, adding that the team had a very good opening session today.
