Former Cricket Captain Shahid Afridi has announced to fly back home in the middle of the Lankan Premier League due to personal reasons.
According to the details, after playing his trade with Multan Sultans in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, Afridi was made the captain of the Galle Gladiators team for the inaugural edition of LPL.
However, on Wednesday he took to his Twitter handle and wrote:
Unfortunately, I have a personal emergency to attend to back home. I will return to join back my team at LPL immediately after the situation is handled. All the best.
He also said that he will return to join back his team after the situation is handled.

Earlier Taking to Twitter, Lala revealed what he had said to the Afghanistan player.
“My advice to the young player was simple, play the game and don’t indulge in abusive talk. I have friends in the Afghanistan team and we have very cordial relations. Respect for teammates and opponents is the basic spirit of the game.”

Let it be known that in the sixth match of the Lankan league, between Kandy Tuskers and Gladiators, the veteran all-rounder got involved in a verbal spat with Naveen of Afghanistan.
