Galle Gladiators fast bowler Mohammad Amir on Monday claimed the first-ever five-wicket haul of Lanka Premier League (LPL) history.
The left-arm pacer attained the feat in the Gladiators 5th match of the tournament against Colombo Kings.
Mohammad Amir picked up just a single wicket in his opening spell but returned with the same superb death bowling later, picking up two wickets each in the 18th and 20th over of the match.
His historic five-for helped bowl out the Kings for 171 and increased Gladiators hopes of getting their first win of the tournament.
Mohammad Amir is a Pakistani left arm pacer who is currently playing in Lanka Premier League of Sri Lanka. Amir also played for Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League (PSL) who lifts this year’s trophy after the wait of 5 years in the captaincy of Imad Wasim.
