Pakistan batting line despite having a powerful start against New Zealand, struggled as Black Cap Kyle Jamieson got more threatening with the ball in hand and showed no signs of abating.
According to the details, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first in the second test match at Hagley Oval, in Christchurch on Sunday.
Pakistan made a solid start, negotiating their way through the new-ball pair of Tim Southee and Trent Boult to reach 66-1 about 90 minutes into the first session.
But Jamieson was a different outlook, sending the ball down from 2.04m and getting bounce off a good length.
The Black Cap troubled Azhar Ali and Abid Ali from the outset and kept the slips cordon, and Henry Nicholls at gully, in play at all times.
Azhar Ali showed good old Test match virtues by playing straight, looking to play with soft hands, not jabbing at deliveries moving away from him and trying to weave out of the way of short deliveries.
New Zealand are undefeated at home for 16 Tests, and gunning for a 17th, that could also make them the No. 1 Test team for the first time ever.
