The South African cricket team on Sunday has started its training session a day after their arrival in Pakistan.
All the squad members were tested negative for coronavirus before kicking off their practice session before the two-match Test series in Karachi.
According to the details, the porteas went to the Gymkhana ground, adjacent to their hotel, for the practice and trained for over three hours.
“It was a light training session to get the players back in form. The intensity will increase with each session,” said an official of the South Africa cricket team.
Till January 22, the South African team will continue to train at Karachi Gymkhana before they went to the National Stadium to start their preparation ahead of the Test.
Quinton de Kock, the captain of the South Africa team, is scheduled to have a media conference on Monday.
The first Test match between Pakistan and South Africa will start on 26th January at National Stadium, Karachi.
