Pakistan team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq said that the win in the T20 series against Proteas was important for the team’s morale and confidence.

While talking to the media he said,

“How many series have we won against South Africa before? It is true that the South African team did not have big players but after them, these were the best T20 players in their country,”

“Batsmen are having difficulty in playing spin bowling. The World Cup is to be played in India so they have to bat well against spin. We will work on that,”

“There is still time left for the T20 World Cup and we will play a lot of matches in the meantime. The team did not have players like Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Muhammad Hafeez who will have to return, as well.”

The head coach also said that the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will also benefit the team management in getting more selections to try different combinations.

“PSL is going to happen now. The tournament will give players a chance to bring their form to the fore. It will provide the management with a good pool and it will be easier for us to make combinations.”
