Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has congratulated team Pakistan for winning the T2OI series against South Africa.

He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote,

“Congratulations Pakistan on the series win! Despite the victory we need to review the middle-order performances where we seem to be struggling for a long time. I think Shoaib Malik must be considered again, especially since it’s a T20 World Cup year.”

Fakhar Zaman’s aggressive half-century helped Pakistan beat South Africa by 3 wickets in the thrilling fourth T20 match to win the series 1-3.

In the fourth and final T20 match of the series played at Centurion, Pakistan won the toss and invited South Africa to bat once again.

When South Africa started the innings, their first and biggest loss came when Eden Mercury, who had scored half-centuries in the last three matches, became Hassan Ali’s wicket after scoring just 11 runs.

After the first wicket fell, Janneman Malan was joined by Rassie van der Dawson and the two players played a responsible game and put on a 57-run partnership which proved to be the biggest contribution of the South African innings. Malan was dismissed for 33.

Dawson teamed up with captain Henry Klaassen to complete the team’s century and take the score to 109, but Klaassen and Dawson, who scored 52 runs on the same score, kept going.

When Pakistan started the innings, Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion without scoring a run on the second ball.

The duo put up a brilliant partnership of 91 runs and paved the way for Pakistan’s victory. Fakhar Zaman returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 60 off 34 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 5 fours.

After Fakhar’s dismissal, Babar was also dismissed for 24 off 23 balls.
