India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and his wife Aesha Mukerji announce to part ways after eight years of marriage.
Aesha Mukerji announced her divorce from Shikhar Dhawan in a lengthy Instagram post. “I THOUGHT DIVORCE WAS A DIRTY WORD UNTIL I BECAME A 2 TIME DIVORCEE.”
“Funny how words can have such powerful meanings and associations. I experienced this first-hand as a divorcee. The first time I went through a divorce I was soooooooo fu@kn scared. I felt like I had failed and I was doing something so wrong at that time,” she wrote.

She went on to say that divorce has taught her a lot about relationships, especially lessons that she can use in her life ahead.
The couple had tied the knot in 2012 and have a son, Zoravar. Aesha Mukerji hails from Melbourne and used to be an amateur boxer.
However, Dhawan is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ahead of the resumption of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which was suspended in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 35-year-old cricketer recently captained a young India side during their white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, with regular captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma in England for the Test series there at the time.
