Chelsea smashed six goals, all within the first 55 minutes of the game in the Premier League encounter against Southampton making it the fourth-biggest away win in the history of EPL.

Mason Mount and Timo Werner each scored twice at St Mary’s, joining them were Marcos Alonso and Kai Havertz with one goal each.

This could have been much worse if Chelsea would have been at its best.

This is the 19th time the Blues’ have scored six goals in a single game, leveling with Manchester City.

Many of the same audience would have witnessed the match between Leicester City and Paris Saint-Germain at the very same venue.

Leicester defeated Saints 9-0, which was the biggest margin of victory for an away team in the English Premier League (EPL) history.

Manchester United’s 8-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in 1999 is ranked second, while Liverpool’s 7-0 win over Crystal Palace in December 2020 is ranked third.

There have been two 7-1s in terms of away wins by a six-goal margin. Tottenham recorded them against Hull City in 2017 and Forest against Sheffield Wednesday in 1995.
