The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the City Cricket Association U19 Tournament would begin from May 21.
All six cricket organizations’ squads were released via press release on Friday (Balochistan, Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern, Sindh, and Southern Punjab).
In a 50-over event, 93 squads will compete, paving the road for players to succeed and advance to divisional tournaments and PCB U19 three-day and one-day championships.
Participants in this competition will also be eligible to compete in the inaugural Pakistan Junior League (PJL), which will take place in Lahore from October 1 to 15.
Certain preventive steps have been implemented to keep players fit during the tournament, with the health and welfare of the players being a high priority. During the match, the PCB will encourage players to wear floppy hats, and damp towels will be supplied.
Moreover, the match durations are also arranged in a way to keep players fresh in the heat. The match will begin at 830 p.m. and last until 1300 p.m. During the hottest hours of the day, from 1300 to 1600, there will be a three-hour break. The match will start again at 1600 and finish at 1830. In addition, each innings will include an additional refreshments break.
