The construction of a state-of-the-art cricket stadium in Islamabad for the Champions Trophy 2025 has been postponed, according to Jang.
The stadium project has been delayed, according to the report, due to changes in the federal administration. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan had given PCB chairman Ramiz Raja permission to build a high-tech stadium in Islamabad before the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.
PCB had requested land for the stadium from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in a letter. However, due to recent changes in the federal administration, PCB has yet to receive a response.
The stadium was supposed to be finished in a year and a half, according to the original design.
PCB, on the other hand, aims to build 70 rooms in each of Karachi’s and Multan’s stadiums in order to prepare for prospective international events. These rooms will have five-star amenities as well as safe transportation to and from the stadium.
