Carlos Alcaraz, the Spanish tennis sensation, has set his sights on the forthcoming French Open at Roland Garros.

The 19-year-old has yet to win a Grand Slam in his career, but he seems confident in his ability to do so in the lucrative clay-court tournament.

Alcaraz was eliminated in the third round of the Australian Open earlier this year after losing to Italy’s Matteo Berrettini.

But the Young Turk’s fortunes changed dramatically after that.

The youngster won Rio Open in February before losing in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Masters to the famous Rafael Nadal.

Following that, he finished second in the Miami Open after losing to Casper Ruud.

Alcaraz was knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters in the Round of 32, but he bounced back to win the Barcelona Open and the Miami Open.

After being the first teenager to defeat Nadal on clay, Alcaraz had a fairytale run in Madrid.

Then, in the semi-final, Alcaraz defeated World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, and in the final, he defeated Olympic gold champion Alexander Zverev.

Alcaraz is seeking the ultimate honor in tennis after winning numerous tournaments.

Alcaraz was quoted as saying, “Yes, I am ready to win a Grand Slam and to go for it.”

“I’ve set a goal for myself this year to win my first Grand Slam. Let’s wait and watch what happens at Roland Garros,” he added.

Alcaraz had to withdraw from the Italian Open due to an ankle injury, but he plans to return.
