
Kyrgios expecting positive titles after great presentation
- Nick Kyrgios says he believes he has been overlooked by some of the world’s top tennis players.
- The 21-year-old beat Filip Krajinovic in straight sets in the first round of Wimbledon on Thursday.
Kyrgios was relentless as he pounded the Serbian world number 31 6-2 6-3 6-1, losing just nine focuses on serve in the 85-minute whipping.
“Today at every turn I just felt better,” he said. “I simply needed to demonstrate to individuals that I’m great. I feel like I simply don’t have the regard now and again.”
Tending to a post-match news meeting he said: “Clearly the media’s disregard… it was only a suggestion to take care of all of you back from the presentation today.
