Romeo Crennel retires after 50 times of coaching

• Romeo Crennel played 39 seasons in the NFL.
• He was lead trainer for the Cleveland Browns (2005-08) and Kansas City Chiefs (2012-13).
• Crennell’s general profession record is 32-63.

Romeo Crennel trained in the school positions at Western Kentucky, Texas Tech, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech from 1970-80.

Also preceding breaking into the NFL as the New York Giants’ exceptional groups mentor from 1981-89.

Crennel, who turns 75 not long from now, had been with the Houston Texans beginning around 2014.

“Football has been as long as I can remember and it’s been a blessing from heaven to mentor for a considerable length of time,” he said in a proclamation shared by the Texans via virtual entertainment. ”

I’ll miss everything about instructing and educating, however what I’ll miss the most is being around the folks consistently.”

He was a NFL guarded facilitator with the Browns (2000), New England Patriots (2001-04), Chiefs (2010-11), and Texans (2014-16, 2018-19).

After three seasons as the Giants’ guarded line mentor (1990-92), he held similar job with the Patriots (1993-96) and New York Jets (1997-99).

Crennel’s groups brought home five Super Bowl titles – – two by the Giants (Super Bowls XXI and XXV) and three by the Patriots (XXXVI, XXXVIII and XXXIX).

In his last season with the Texans in 2021, Crennel’s title was senior consultant for football execution.

Crennel said he is wanting to invest more energy with his grandkids in retirement.
