He hopes to expand on a blockbuster year at the U.S. Open this week in Brookline, Massachusetts.

“I won’t stay there and be, ‘Similar to, goodness, my golly, how did this occur? How is it that I could at any point miss a cut? What’s happening?’ (I’m) simply pausing for a moment or two and looking, ‘Indeed, I might have moved toward this in an unexpected way’.”

He won the WM Phoenix Open in February and got two more PGA Tour titles in March, prior to securing his lady major at the Masters in April.

While his victories have come dangerously fast, Scheffler said his way to deal with the game was everything except.

“I generally attempt to get a tad steadily better over the long run as opposed to making these sort of extreme changes.”

The Country Club course, with its strong harsh, presents troublesome difficulties for even the most unflappable contenders. Scheffler highlighted opening 15 – a long standard 4 with a dark green – as being especially difficult.

In any case, he appeared to be prepared to take any hiccups on the course in his step.

“Try not to make too much of you personally in light of the fact that you will hit ridiculously awful shots,” he said.

“It’s not tied in with hitting amazing golf shots. It’s tied in with dealing with your misses and answering those.”
