PHF to hold inaugural hockey league this year
The hockey league will be held under the banner of "The Max"....
The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) reappoints Brigadier General (Rtd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar as President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) in the newly-appointed ad-hoc committee earlier this month after dismissing the previous setup.
In accordance with the PSB’s announcement, a four-member ad hoc committee has been created with the specific mission to hold elections within 30 days, in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the federation.
Olympians Nasir Ali, Rehan Butt, and coach Arshad Mehmood have been selected as the committee’s other three members, while Khokhar will continue to serve as interim chairman.
PSB previously de-notified PHF President Khokhar, secretary Asif Bajwa, and treasurer Muhammad Akhlaq for failing to organise elections following the expiration of their constitutional term on 14 May 2022.
