In the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings for all-rounders, West Indies captain Hayley Matthews is edging closer to taking the top spot.

Matthews moved up three spots in the bowling rankings and one slot in the all-rounder rankings to reach the top five in both lists during the current T20I series against England in the Caribbean. Matthews has taken five wickets for his team.

In the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings for all-rounders, Matthews is currently four rating points behind Sophie Devine, who is placed first. She also moved up to No. 4 in the bowling rankings, behind Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, and Sarah Glenn, according to an ICC statement released on Tuesday.

The T20I starter for England, Sophia Dunkley, saw a substantial rise in the rankings as well. She climbed 19 spots to get even closer to the top 10.

Dunkley is the highest-scoring England hitter ahead of Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver with 147 runs in the four T20Is played in the West Indies so far. She has also moved up to No.12 in the batting rankings.

After Jess Jonassen and Megan Schutt lost points in the T20Is against India, Lea Tahuhu of New Zealand also shot up into the top 10 of the bowling rankings.

The seasoned Ellyse Perry, who has been doing well with the bat in the India T20Is, climbed three spots into the top 10 of the all-rounder rankings.

She also advanced significantly in the batting rankings, moving up 17 spots to take up position 34 following back-to-back fifty-plus scores in the India series.
