LeBron James came very close to setting an NBA record for points scored, but the Los Angeles Clippers upset the Los Angeles Lakers 133-115.

With 46 points, the 38-year-old was 178 points away from Jabbar’s record of 38,387 points set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

James also created NBA history when he became the first player to score 40 points in a game while playing every NBA franchise.

James’ final tally includes a career-high nine three-pointers, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

In the next two weeks, James might beat Abdul-record Jabbar’s if things keep going as they are.
