Michael Clarke, the former captain of Australia, may be a victim of domestic abuse, claims Peter Ford of Sunrise.

Details indicate that on January 10, while on vacation in Noosa with his girlfriend Jade Yarbroug, Clarke received a smack from Yarbroug after their foul-mouthed quarrel was captured on camera.

Yarbrough asserted that she had received texts suggesting Clarke had cheated on her with his ex Pip Edwards during the argumentative encounter.

Karl Stefanovic, a close friend of Clarke’s, and others who were present at the time were compelled to step in after the argument.

“Yesterday, on my social media, I was startled by the number of individuals who said, regardless of what happened before it, there was a clear act of physical violence where Jade did smack Michael,” Ford added.

“Now, it’s got to operate both ways, and the subject of domestic violence is a very hot-topic issue at the moment in Queensland.

“As seen on tape, he is a victim of domestic violence. So, you know, there are a lot of hazy boundaries in all of this, and nothing is crystal clear.”

Likewise, Queensland Police have stated that they are looking into the matter, but no charges have been filed.

“Queensland Police are investigating an incident earlier this month at Lions Park on Gympie Terrace in Noosaville involving a 30-year-old lady and a 41-year-old man represented in footage,” a police spokeswoman said. “The Queensland Police Service is unable to make any further comment as this matter on January 10, 2023, is under investigation.”

According to sources, Clarke was heartbroken after learning that the encounter had been filmed.

“It was like a bomb went off…they all had to relive it,” an acquaintance close to the close-knit group explained.

“Michael was heartbroken. This was about more than just him. This was about everything: parents, children, lovers, and so on.”
