Shaheen Shah Afridi, a star pacer for Pakistan, recently had the opportunity to perform Umrah when he was in Saudi Arabia.

Shaheen doesn’t avoid social media and regularly updates his followers on his activities.

The quick bowler posted a photo of himself at the Khana-e-Ka’aba on Twitter and Instagram, two social media sites.

Alhamdulillah, he wrote as the picture’s caption.

Soon after Shaheen shared the photo, admirers and supporters flocked to the comments section to show their support for one of the best bowlers.

Sajid Khan, a cricket player for Pakistan who made his debut with the squad in April 2021, complimented Shaheen.

The speedster, who has been out of commission since November 2022 due to a knee injury, is now fully recovered and is prepared to resume his duties.

“I have around 55 overs under my belt during training and I’m ready to feature in all forms of cricket,” said Shaheen, while speaking to the media persons.

The pacer claimed that he was bowling in a similar manner to before his injury and that he was prepared to return to the field.

Since Shaheen, 22, sustained a knee injury during the T20 World Cup 2022 final against England on November 13, he is not now a member of the Pakistani team.

“Staying on the sidelines was tough for me. I decided to participate in the T20 World Cup because the team needed me. If I was running in to bowl in the T20 World Cup like I’m doing now, the result would have been different,” the pacer said while speaking about his time away from the pitch

Shaheen will play for Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), in the upcoming season.

The eighth PSL is slated to take place from February 13 to March 19, 2023.

Shaheen’s return to international cricket will depend on the fast bowler’s ability to successfully complete the rehabilitation programme and receive the subsequent OK from the medical personnel.
