ICC Cricket World Cup League 2: Namibia announced 14-players squad
A 14-man roster for Namibia’s one-day international (ODI) matches in the Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 from February 14 to 21 was released on Friday.
From February 14 to February 20, according to Namibia Cricket’s marketing manager Natalia Nauyoma, the team will play Scotland and the host nation Nepal.
Namibia will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to play the host nation on February 21 after wrapping up the series in Nepal, according to a report. This will complete their 36 ODI matches.
Clubs will play a total of six ODIs throughout each tri-series of the league, with teams vying for the top three League 2 berths.
Namibia is currently seated below Scotland and Oman in the league standings. The United States, United Arab Emirates, Nepal, and Papua New Guinea round out the league’s other teams in alphabetical order, with Papua New Guinea finishing last.
The first season of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, a cricket competition that counts toward the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process, will take place from 2019 to 2023.
Every match in the tournament is an ODI, and it runs from August 2019 to February 2023.
