The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently selecting squads for three exhibition matches for women that will take place in Rawalpindi next week alongside Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 games.
According to insiders, the PCB is planning to field squads for three matches that are slated to be played on March 8, March 10, and March 11 at Pindi Cricket Stadium which comprise at least 10 international cricketers.
The PCB has practically completed signing players from England, South Africa, Ireland, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand to participate in these matches, according to sources.
Tammy Beaumont, Danni Wyatt, and Lauren Winfield-Hill, according to sources, are likely to participate in these matches for England.
Aiming to promote women’s cricket and the idea of empowering women in the nation, the PCB will organise three exhibition games that could feature Irish Laura Delaney and South African Laura Wolvaardt.
Jahanara Alam of Bangladesh, Chamari Athapaththu of Sri Lanka, and Lea Tahuhu of New Zealand are among women who are likely to appear on the list.
During these exhibition games, PCB is also attempting to recruit Tess Flintoff from Australia and Suzie Bates from New Zealand.
After two to three days, the final roster of teams will probably be made public.
