India unveils new jersey ahead of T20 World Cup 2024

  • Adidas reveals India’s potential T20 World Cup 2024 jersey.
  • The new design is similar to the 2019 World Cup jersey with minor changes.
  • It’s likely the Indian team will wear the new jersey for the World Cup.

Adidas, one of the leading sportswear brands and the official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, has introduced the team’s new T20I jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in the United States and West Indies.

The World Cup jersey bears a striking resemblance to the one from the 2019 World Cup, with only minor differences. The jersey features Adidas’ signature white stripes and a tri-coloured stripe around the collar.

While it remains uncertain whether the Blues will sport this shirt in the grand event, the timing of the kit’s release suggests that Rohit Sharma and his team will likely be seen in the new jersey when the T20 World Cup commences on June 2.

Earlier, India announced their squad for the big event. Notable players like KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan did not make it to the 18-member squad, while Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh were listed as travelling reserves.

It’s worth noting that India is in Group A along with their long-standing rivals, Pakistan. The two teams are scheduled to face off in one of the most eagerly awaited matches of the World Cup on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
