  • PCB objected to Fox Cricket’s coverage of Babar Azam.
  • Babar was reported to have “sexted a teammate’s girlfriend”.
  • Azamm decided to keep quiet about the claims and has not yet responded.

Australian news, Fox Cricket, deleted the tweet after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) condemned the publication for making “unsubstantiated personal charges” against national team captain Babar Azam.

The national cricket governing body reacted to a post from Fox Cricket in which Babar was reported to have “sexted a teammate’s girlfriend”.

“As our media partner, you might have considered ignoring such unsubstantiated personal allegations which Babar Azam has not deemed worthy of a response,” Pakistan cricket tweeted board tweeted.

However, following the PCB’s objection, the publication removed the tweet.

The Pakistani captain has decided to keep quiet about the claims and has not yet responded to them.

According to the Fox Cricket investigation, Babar Azam’s sexting with the girlfriend of another Pakistani cricketer and his assurance to her that her boyfriend wouldn’t be kicked out of the team if they continued their relationship was justified.

The article went on to say that “the account, which is a parody page, then withdrew the original tweet advertisement and directly apologized to Babar,” according to the further information.

It should be noted that a woman also levelled serious charges against the abuser in November 2020 and asked for charges to be brought against him on grounds of fraud and sexual harassment.

A Lahore session court then ordered the police to file a complaint against Babar. The session court’s order was, however, suspended by the Lahore High Court in 2021.
