On the first weekend of the season, Manchester City will defend their Premier League championship at West Ham, while Liverpool will travel to Fulham.

The 2022/23 schedule, which was released on Thursday, gives Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag his first test at Old Trafford against Brighton, who thrashed United 4-0 last month.

Newcastle will host Nottingham Forest’s first match in the Premier League in 23 years.

Pep Guardiola’s City will begin their attempt for a fifth title in six seasons on Sunday, August 7, at the London Stadium, after all of their competitors have opened their respective campaigns.

For the second consecutive year, Arsenal will open the new season with a short trip to Crystal Palace on Friday, August 5.

After a midweek Champions League match, Liverpool and City will restart their rivalry at Anfield in the middle of October, with the return match planned for the beginning of April.
