Whatsapp is working on a new feature “Self destructing messages” reported by WABetainfo
The self-destructing messages options can be found in beta versions of the app.
The new feature will allow users to set how long messages can remain in chats using a timer. A clock icon on the app indicates how much time is left before the message disappears.
Whatsapp has not yet confirmed when the new option will be introduced in the messaging App.
Once the new option is available, users can mark the chat as “disappeared” enabling the option “Disappearing messages”. Having enabled this option, any message will be automatically removed and also there will be no tracks available in the chat about deleted messages.
